Part of the Strategic Prototyping teams charter was to develop future strategies and scenarios in the consumer space showing the potential for technologies’ transformational impact in the next 3-10+ years. We sat between Microsoft Research and the product teams, and would look for opportunities to tie together upcoming technologies from research with product directions. In doing this we created new intellectual property (IP) often associated with user interfaces and the surfacing of possibilities using smart connected devices with access to software and services.
More often than not the patents filed were developed as a team. Our cumulative and diverse knowledge lead to some unique IP for creating new experiences.
